Walt Disney World Recipes
Recipe from Boma Restaurant at Disney's animal Kingdom Lodge
Boma Banana Bread Pudding
Boma Banana Bread Pudding is a staple at the dessert station at the buffet at Disney’s Boma restaurant. There are so many desserts to choose from, but we always need at least a little scoop smothered in vanilla sauce.
After a meal full of aromatic and flavorful seasonings, the Boma Banana Bread Pudding is a mild, comforting dessert that just warms the soul.
Boma’s is one of our family’s favorite Disney buffet restaurants. It’s one we go back to on nearly every trip. It is full of unique dishes that we can’t typically get at restaurants near our home. But we make several of the recipes from Boma like the Carrot Ginger Soup and Durban Chicken.
In this video, we make this Disney recipe for Boma’s Banana Bread Pudding right in our Animal Kingdom resort villa in Walt Disney World. Check it out!

Boma Banana Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
- 7 whole eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut in chunks
- 3 bananas, sliced
- 5 cups croissants, brioche, or challah bread (day-old is ideal)
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees
- Cut or tear day-old bread into cubes. Set aside.
- In a large bowl combine milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, and beaten eggs.
- In a 9×9 square or round pan, place one layer of bread on bottom. Place banana sliced on top, followed by the rest of the bread.
- Pour custard mixture over the entire dish. Press the top bread layer into custard to prevent the bread from drying out in the oven.
- Place chunks of butter on top of bread pudding.
- Bake for 1 hour or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving so it doesn’t fall apart.
- Serve with vanilla sauce (recipe below).
Instructions
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ¾ cup milk
- ¾ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 ½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks
Ingredients
- Heat the heavy cream, milk, vanilla, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Combine cornstarch with egg yolks in a separate bowl.
- Once the cream mixture boils, drizzle about ½ cup into the egg yolk mixture to temper the eggs. Pour the warmed egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir constantly until well combined and thickened.
- Pour into a bowl and allow to cool or serve warm.
