Recipe From California Grill At Disney's Contemporary Resort
Chocolate Lava Cake
Chocolate Lava Cake is something that had become very popular at many restaurants. But I have not found one as rich and decadent as this one!

Chocolate Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 sticks (16 tablespoons) unsalted butter
- 5 egg yolks
- 4 whole eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Lightly butter six 3/4 cup ramekins. Lightly dust with sugar and dump out excess.
- In a blow set over a pot of simmering water, melt chocolate and butter. Once melted and smooth, remove from heat and set aside to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat egg yolks and whole eggs.
- Add in sugar and continue beating until the mixture is thickened and lighter in color.
- Stir in melted chocolate and butter.
- Sift in flour and gently fold to combine.
- Divide batter among the 6 ramekins, about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the edges of the cake are set but the center is still jiggly when shaken.
- Immediately run a knife around the edge of the cake and flip onto your serving dish.
