Recipe from 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian resort
Ohana Green Beans
I am always looking for new ways to make vegetables. Ohana Green Beans have a wonderful fresh and savory flavor and are really easy to make. The bacon is a nice addition, but if I’m in a hurry, I leave it out and they still taste great!
When I buy green beans in bulk from the big box store, I will often blanche the entire batch. Then I will just saute enough for dinner (and some leftovers because I just love them). The blanched beans keep just as long as fresh ones. Plus, they are great for snacking.
The last time we were at Ohana’s, these beans were no longer on the menu. But that is what is great about having a recipe. I can make them whenever I want!
